La Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de Hollywood anunció sus candidatos al máximo galardón de la industria. En otro año pandémico, con el streaming pisando fuerte y con las salas intentando recuperar el público perdido, el premio más importante de la pantalla grande intenta sobrevivir en su edición número 94.

Las nominaciones del 2022 presentan una novedad: un ajuste en las reglas eleva a partir de este año el número de producciones que compiten por el premio central, y desde ahora habrá un total de 10 películas seleccionadas para pelear en la categoría de Mejor Película.

Presentadas por Leslie Jordan y Tracee Ellis Ross, las 23 categorías de estas Nominaciones Oscars 2022 dejan a The Power of the Dog, de Jane Campion, liderando con 12 candidaturas. Le sigue Dune, con 10.
